Samsung has released a fresh update for the Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. The much-requested update completely kills the Bixby button.

The upgrade is not a standard upgrade but it allows users to completely disable the physical Bixby button for the Bixby service and Bixby apps.

To complete the division, users of Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus and Galaxy Note 8 will first have to update every Bixby-related from the Galaxy Apps store. You can also obtain the new versions of Bixby, Bixby Home, and Bixby Service from APK Mirror.

Users of Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus and Galaxy Note 8 can receive updates of Bixby services to disable Bixby button. After receiving the updates it won’t invoke any action even you accidentally press it. The company is not detailing about the future of that button but trying to kill it. Bixby is expected to get smarter with future updates.

A delay occurred while launching the older version and there was lack of voice support, these two was the major issues with Bixby. In March, the company also introduced Bixby as a replacement to S Voice. After that, the users demanded Samsung to add an option to disable the button.

Along with the disability option, the new version comes with the improvement in the utility that analyses saved contacts when a call command is issued. Bixby Voice has been equipped with the service which recognizes foreign names stored in your address book.
